On-Line GED/HSED

The On-Line GED/HSED is offered free to all Wisconsin students. (Students from other states may use the site but cannot register at MATC) Call the College Preparedness and Academic Advancement Center (formerly ALD) office at (608) 258-2440 or stop in room D209 at the Downtown Madison campus to find out how to register.

When you register, you will be given the name of your advisor.

When you are working with an advisor using these materials and Blackboard, you must use an MATC network password. No password is necessary to just use this website.

All registered students can activate an account for free by going to the MATC home page at
Student Account Activation
If you already have a @stu.matcmadison.edu email account, you DO NOT have to re-activate. Once you have activated your account, use it to let us know by sending an email to your advisor, or to Jim Stickels.

You must re-register for each semester.

On-line Grading

Registered students will be given an S for satisfactory progress each semester by turning in a least two worksheets or putting in at least two hours in My Skills Tutor during the semester. You will receive a P for passing this course when you return proof of completing the related GED or Wisconsin HSED test to the Learning Center. GED and HSED testing is done at the Testing Center.
See testing schedule.
