To assist students in investigating work options and career choices in the United States and to help them identify educational or other requirements of various jobs. To aid students in identifying their own career preferences and the steps needed to pursue that career path.

b. Plan a career path that includes educational needs, personal preferences, job availability and future aspirations
c. Explore various possible career choices through related reading and, if feasible job-site visits or interviews with workers in that field
d. Choose a range of job/career options for the near term and for the future by textbook reading and internet research

To assist the student to understand the systems in the work world and his/her place in them and to offer ways of learning more about MATC departments that help students in choosing and training for a prospective career.

c. Talk to departments, such as Minority Student Services, who may offer specialized help to non-native English speakers
d. Explore the various campuses of MATC, such as Truax and Commercial Avenue campuses to locate appropriate service departments for career development and training
