Problem #1
I click on the link to see the video, and nothing happens.
Nothing pops up. No video, no nothing. Wazzup????
Possible Solutions
Option #1: Active X control needs installing!
-
Are you getting a message regarding Active X controls? It will look like this:
If so, click the yellow bar and install the ActiveX controler.
Problem #2
I click on the link to see the video, and it pops up just fine. But..I can't make it "go".
There are no controls at the bottom of the window for "start" and "stop". Wazzup????
Normally, you should see this, which includes a navigation bar at the bottom:
But on some screens, the navigation bar isn't at the bottom! You can't start and stop the video!
Possible Solutions (there's only one.....)
-
Sometimes, the control bar will not appear at the bottom of the video. This is due to your screen resolution. If this happens:
Problem #3
I have the latest version of Flash and Javascript enabled, however I still cannot get Flash
files to play. I keep getting a message that tells me to 1) Enable Javascript, and 2) update my Flash Player.
I have no idea what javascript is, and I have already updated my Flash. What am I doing wrong?
Possible Solutions
You aren't doing anything wrong. Some users have seen issues with getting Flash videos to play
correctly because of changes Microsoft made in its browser.
The error most commonly occurs in Internet Explorer 6 and 7 (but I have seen the same error in Firefox).
To fix this issue, follow the directions below.
Option #1: Update Flash, but uninstall it first!!
-
Close all open programs. This step is important because other programs may be using Flash
Player, and if they are, the uninstaller will not work.
-
Run the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller.
-
Reboot your computer and clear your browser cache.
- Reinstall your Flash player.
Option #2: Use a different browser!
I have not had many problems with any of the Mozilla Browsers. These are free downloads, and
include Netscape or
Firefox.
