Read this first! The following are instructions on how to use these videos, and what you are responsible for.
Genetics is a tricky subject. Therefore, I am offering you 2 series .... each of which covers genetics, but in a different manner. There will be repeated info between the 2 series.
The first series IS NOT MANDATORY!
However, this series gives you a good overview of the theme of genetics. These are from the 1 semester "survey" course, and will give you the "big picture".
The second series IS MANDATORY!!!
This series covers the material in much more detail. This will be covered on the next exam, or on the takehome exam (this differs from 1 semester to the next).
The info on Mitosis is mandatory. However, these are the same videos as you saw in lab, so you only need to use these as a review if necessary.
The info on Cancer is not mandatory. However, I give you these to tie the discussions on Mitosis and Genetics into a better understanding of this important problem.
