CPAAC Mission Statement CPPAC provides educational access and personalized academic support to a diverse population of learners who identify and progress towards their learning goals and thereby become independent learners. old statement: The Alternative Learning Division is dedicated to making quality education accessible. It is the mission of the division to serve a diverse population including adults needing English as a second language and/or seeking high school completion and basic skills, family literacy, institutionalized adults, students with special needs, workplace participants, and MATC students needing developmental and remedial instruction. It is our purpose to meet the needs of individuals and families where they are and to help them accomplish their personal goals thus supporting their full participation in all aspects of society. Direct instruction is supplemented by technology, peer tutors, volunteers, supplemental instruction, interpreters, note takers, and text on tape at all sites. District-wide the division serves more than 5,000 students annually with instructional learning centers and/or classrooms located at all MATC campuses - Downtown, Truax, Commercial Avenue, South Madison Education Center, Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg, Watertown and numerous outreach sites, including workplaces and corrections facilities throughout the district. Funding is provided by the district and various local, state and federal funding sources. |
