Meeting Notes...

Objectives

§         Discuss survey on use of Internet in learning

§         Discuss outcomes of budget meeting with Dennis

§         Brainstorm potential issues to be addressed by Pedagogy group

Survey

·         The communication process needs to be clarified.  Pedagogy team will bring issue to entire ITLT for discussion at the next meeting.

·         Reviewed and modified survey items.  Survey will be presented to entire ITLT for approval at the next meeting.

·         Both full and part time faculty need to participate in survey and will be conducted through Groupwise? and on-line? (I am not sure whether we clarified this or are we discussing this at the ITLT meeting?)

·         Need a letter to describe the purpose of the survey.  The letter should include:

o        Clarification that this survey is focused on the use of the Internet in learning.  We need to differentiate this survey from the SIET 4 survey.

o        Survey goal:

·         Identification of ways to enhance the use of Internet as a learning/teaching tool.

o        Identification of the role of ITLT in Internet pedagogy.

Budget

·         Budget document which Dennis created was shared with the group
