Import Websites

The last method to be briefly introduced here is that of importing entire websites, large or small, into Bb. If you need to use a tremendous amount of graphics, such as that required in science and math pages, then you may find this to be your only practical choice. Here are the steps:

  1. Create your lessons/pages using a web-authoring tool. (See the this section for more details.)
  2. Contain the entire collection of web pages into one folder, and any subfolders. Avoid using server-side code which will not function without special server extensions. Client-side Javascript and cross-browser DHTML work fine.
  3. Zip or archive the folder and all of its contents.
  4. Now create a Bb document in the desired location.
  5. Choose, name link, etc.
  6. Unpackage file
  7. That's it.

Now your entire web should function as a self-contained unit, complete with fully-functioning hyperlinks and images.

All images have been copied to the Bb computer server which is connected to the Web. All pages have in effect been copied to the Bb server; therefore, all site activity will be recorded by Bb.

Enjoy!
