Image URL Paste

Now do it! Let's use this method to put an image into your Bb course. You could create a new page for this, but let's try inserting an image into your Bb discussion forum.

Choose an image at the right from the clip art. Right-click on it and copy the URL location.

After you have the location copied, go to the textbox below and paste in the URL in between the quotation marks ("").

For example, the below code

would display the image named catdog.gif which is located remotely at the URL pasted in between the quotation marks.

(Yes, CatDog is likely copyrighted, but he sure is cute. The rest of the images are free clipart. More on this topic later.)

Are you ready to try this yourself? You've pasted your URL into the above textbox. Now copy the entire contents of the textbox, including the img src tag. Switch to the courseshell (blue course).  (Switch back to this window when you want to continue reading here, or print out these directions for reference.)

Directions for when you are in Bb: In Bb's Control Panel or Forum, move to the place where you want to insert an image, clipart, or photo. Paste the img src tag and URL from your clipboard, and voila! the picture should display in your web page.

That's it! You are becoming a web master carpenter, --or something like that.
